CALLERS to radio stations have been warned about inflammatory remarks and rumour mongering by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission. Speaking in Nakuru, NCIC Commissioner Lawrence Bomett said some of the frequent callers use hate speech and even rumour monger when making calls to FM stations. “It has been noted that some frequent callers make inflammatory statements and use hate speech especially when making calls in the context of International Criminal Court issues and the 2012 general elections,” said Bomett. He urged FM stations to use call delay gadgets to vet contents of their callers before putting them on air.
