Africa: Black Africa Was Bombed With Aids Print E-mail

O
n the sidelines of the African HIV/AIDS conference which opened yesterday November 29 in Accra, Public Agenda plays back incriminating evidence that HIV (1) was created in a United States laboratory and funded by the U.S. Congress specifically to reduce Black African population. According to orthodox dogma in the 1980s, AIDS is caused by HIV, a natural virus that, by one account, allegedly crossed over from monkeys into the human population in Africa. Though that is the view maintained by the governments of the west and by their medical and scientific establishments and disseminated by the western global media, it has not gained universal assent from independent scientists across the world.

Alerted by the many anomalies in the epidemiology of AIDS, a small growing number of scientific researchers began, by the mid 1980s, to put forward the Alternative AIDS Hypothesis: that AIDS is the product of a lab-made virus, a Biological Warfare Weapon, which somehow got deployed on Africans and other deliberately targeted groups.

Here is the evidence. In July 1969, Dr. MacArthur, Director of the U.S. Army Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) appeared before Congress (the Appropriations Committee of the House) and stated: " within a period of 5-10 years it would be possible to produce a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired."

ARPA requested $10 million to develop AIDS, 10 years before the virus was identified in the field. Dr. MacArthur added, "It is a highly controversial issue and there are many who believe such research should not be undertaken lest it lead to another method of massive killing of large populations." From 1961 to 1968 while this artificial biological agent was under discussion in the pentagon, Robert McNamara was Secretary of Defense. Clark Clifford (of BCCI notoriety) took over as Secretary in 1969.

On October 2, 1970 just 15 months after Dr. MacArthur requested an appropriation for AIDS development, Robert McNamara, who later became World Bank President, made a speech to international bankers in which he identified population growth as "the gravest issue that the world faces over the years ahead." In his speech to the bankers, McNamara argued that population growth was leading to instability, that a 10 billion world population would not be "controllable." Said McNamara, "It is not a world that any of us would want to live in. Is such a world inevitable? It is not sure but there are two possible ways by which a world of 10 billion people can be averted. Either the current birth rates must come down more quickly or the current death rates must go up.

There is no other way.". . . In brief, Robert McNamara was justifying the development of AIDS at the very time he was contemplating the idea that "world death rates must go up." THIS IS MORE THAN COINCIDENCE. Our conclusion is that Robert McNamara knowingly encouraged development of AIDS as a means to reduce the worlds' Population. It is difficult to arrive at any other Conclusion. Matching the time frames and the opportunities for decision making there is at least a prima facie case, well worth investigating, that Robert McNamara knowingly and deliberately encouraged development of the AIDS virus.

Phoenix Letter views the McNamara program, continued by Clark Clifford, as genocide. . . . By 1972, the World Health Organization called on scientists to work on such viruses "to see if viruses can in fact exert selective effects on the immune function." (WHO is supposedly devoted to "health" progress and financed in part by the U.S. taxpayer on this supposition. See Bulletin of World Health Organization, 1972, 47:257-63.)

Dr. Boyd E. Graves, J.D., a renowned medical researcher spent time and resources trying to prove that HIV (1) was created in the laboratory and financed by the United States government. In his research he developed a 'flow chart' to prove the existence of a coordinated research program to develop a cancer virus that depletes the immune system . . .

According to the evidence, Graves recently presented to the U.S. Supreme Court, the secret virus program spent 15 years and $550 million dollars to create and mass produce a human immune suppressing virus which is known today as HIV/AIDS. Graves' flow chart has received worldwide praise by other independent researchers who reviewed his work.

In a paper presented at the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, Chinweizu, the renowned Nigerian author and Pan Africanist par excellence questioned why the confusion surrounding the origin of AIDS remains supported the 'paper trail' for a prima facie case that AIDS is indeed a bioweapon of mass destruction invented by the US Government, and deployed in Africa for premeditated genocide. In his view, the creation of bioweapons that target only the black-skinned takes the race war to a new level and further challenges us to look to our survival.

Chinweizu says if a cure exists, and was known to the inventors of AIDS, including Dr Robert Gallo, even before the disease was let loose on humanity, why is that the cure not being aggressively used to end the plague? "We should note that widespread use of any cures would defeat the genocidal purpose for which the AIDS virus was invented. So the powers that commissioned AIDS have, presumably, worked to prevent general knowledge and use of any cures. Instead they promote the use of ARVs [Anti-Retroviral drugs] that don't cure AIDS, but instead, earn mountains of money for the pharmaceutical companies", he pointed out.

He urged African governments to investigate news that a cure for AIDS has been found and if verified, African governments should team up to compel the western pharmaceutical companies to release the to rid Africa of the AIDS plague.

The Prospects of Reform in Kenya Bleak Print E-mail

A
frica's creaky statist interventionist behemoth needs to be de-wormed, de-tribalized, and thoroughly cleansed. Bloated bureaucracies, packed with cronies and tribesmen, reek of graft, venality and inefficiency. The state sector or "government" has become the arena of self-enrichment. Everybody who wants to be rich heads straight into government. The richest people in Africa are heads of state and government ministers. Quite often, the chief bandit is the head of state himself.

These ruling vampire elites suck the economic life-blood out of the country to deposit in overseas accounts. Because they benefit enormously from the rotten status-quo, they are not interested in reform, PERIOD. If you exert pressure on them to reform, they would perform the "Babangida boogie" -- one step forward, three steps back, a flip and a side-kick to land on a fat Swiss bank account. Much ado about nothing. Former president of Kenya, Daniel arap Moi, was very adept at this ritual dance, the Moi massamba, which was well described by The Economist (19 August 1995): "Over the past few years, Kenya has performed a curious mating ritual with its aid donors. The steps are: One, Kenya wins its yearly pledges of foreign aid. Two, the government begins to misbehave, backtracking on economic reform and behaving in an authoritarian manner. Three, a new meeting of donor countries looms with exasperated foreign governments preparing their sharp rebukes. Four, Kenya pulls a placatory rabbit out of the hat. Five, the donors are mollified and aid is pledged. The whole dance then starts again." (p.37).

The ruling vampire elites are simply not interested in reform. Using the state machinery for self-aggrandizement and self-enrichment is the main preoccupation. They care less about reliable supply of ELECTRICITY, clean WATER, MEDICAL care for the people -- as long as THEY have access to them. When they need medical care, they go abroad. Their food is imported and to educate their children, they send them abroad. As for the people, they can eat grass. Ask these vampire elites to cut bloated state bureaucracies or government spending and they will set up a “Ministry of Less Government Spending.” Ask them to establish better systems of governance and they will set up a “Ministry of Good Governance” (Tanzania). Ask them to curb corruption and they will set up an “Anti-Corruption Commission” with no teeth and then sack the Commissioner if he gets too close to the fat cats (Kenya).

Ask them to establish democracy and they will empanel a coterie of fawning sycophants to write the electoral rules, toss opposition leaders into jail, hold fraudulent elections and return themselves to power (Ivory Coast, Rwanda). Ask them to place more reliance on the private sector and they will create a Ministry of Private Enterprise (Ghana). Ask them to privatize inefficient state-owned enterprises and they will sell them off at fire-sale prices to their cronies (Uganda).

The chicanery of these ruling vampire elites knows no bounds. As a result, the reform process across Africa has been stalled by strong-arm tactics, vaunted acrobatics, vexatious chicanery and willful deception. But without reform, more African countries will implode or remain stuck in the mud. The prospects of REFORM in Kenya remain as bleak as in Ghana. First, the ruling vampire elites aren't interested in reform. Back in 2002, it was civil society which drove the reform agenda. This time around, the politicians are making "noises" about reform -- noises because they break their promises like Idi Amin cracked the skulls of his critics with a sledge-hammer.

Second, to implement REAL reform, the winning presidential candidate must have a clear mandate from the people and his party must command a SUPRA majority to push constitutional reform through parliament. Neither is likely to happen with a field of 9 presidential candidates. The MORE candidates there are in a presidential race, the MORE likely things will remain the SAME. This is not rocket science because the "reform vote" will be divided, diluted and extinguished.

Consider Benin, a country of 7 million people but with over 100 political parties. Mali also has over 100 political parties. Both have had free and fair elections in the last decade. But reform? Nada. Maybe, we might need General Ibrahim Babangida after all. Because the U.S. has two political parties, Babangida created EXACTLY two for Nigeria in 1985: "one a little to the left and the other a little to the right." The rest is history.  Professor Dr. George Ayittey is a son of Ghana and currently resides in the States, where he is an economics professor in residence at George Washington University.

Oprah Winfrey Makes Secret Trip to South Africa Print E-mail

O
prah Winfrey paid a secret visit Sunday to her elite Leadership Academy Girls School in South Africa, which has been embroiled with abuse allegations after a 12-year-old pupil aired claims of misconduct. "The meeting went well. It took about two hours, and I appreciate that Oprah took time to listen," the girl's father told PEOPLE exclusively. The session with Winfrey included him, his wife and their daughter. "Oprah looked beautiful and was so easy to talk to. It went very smoothly." The girl had left the school complaining about incidents involving the school's staff, but her claims did not result in charges against the dorm matron. Until now, no contact had been made, and the family had not been not invited to an emergency meeting in October, at which Winfrey apologized. "I am very happy and pleased that Oprah heard our side of the story," added the father, whose name is not being revealed. "We have closure."

Emotional Meeting

The meeting, which he described as very emotional, is one of several Winfrey had throughout the day. "I think they are planning new rules and staff for the school," he said, expressing happiness that his daughter will return to complete eighth grade there. (The academy is located in Henley-on-Klip, south of Johannesburg.)

"I am so excited because we were invited to the end-of-year school party, which will be on Tuesday," the father said. "The other pupils and families knew about the party, but we were never told. So it was a big surprise for us when Oprah asked us to join the party." The concerned father also said that his daughter will receive counseling and support, as did other students who were abused. The therapy, he said, "will be organized by the school."

He added, "I am happy because at last we had a chance to speak. Oprah resolved everything."

UN Agency Targets Presidential Candidates in Campaign for Children's Rights Print E-mail

With only a month to Kenya's general election, the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) is asking the country's citizens to support politicians who will respect, protect and fulfil children's rights.

Under its campaign, Look Out For Leaders Who Look Out for Children, UNICEF Kenya has obtained pledges from the three leading presidential candidates to invest in quality education, child survival and social protection for vulnerable children should they win the election. "Since children do not vote, we launched the campaign to get the aspirants to commit themselves to children's rights and to inform Kenyans that when they cast their votes, they should look out for those leaders who will look out for children," Olivia Yambi, UNICEF country representative for Kenya, told IRIN on 21 November.

Yambi said Kenya would be better prepared to handle any emergency situation if issues of child health, education and protection were adequately addressed. "If there was a humanitarian crisis, say in the northern or northeastern part of the country, which are at times affected by disaster, we'd be better off dealing with it if we had in place an efficient health service and the children in these areas could access quality education and be better protected," she said. "We believe that if people were better educated, this would contribute to a more peaceful and conflict-free society."

Presidential aspirants Kalonzo Musyoka of the Orange Democratic Movement-Kenya (ODM-Kenya), Raila Odinga of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and the incumbent, Mwai Kibaki, who is contesting the presidency on a Party of National Unity (PNU) ticket, personally signed their commitment to UNICEF's campaign. "We are standing up for the children of Kenya, the children of East Africa and the children of the world," Musyoka told IRIN on 20 November in a brief read by his press secretary, Kaplich Barsito. Musyoka said: "No child under five years should be allowed to die of preventable diseases; I'll personally lobby my colleagues in the 10th Parliament to endorse policies that favour and promote the interests of the child."

Esther Passaris, an official in the ODM communications secretariat, said Odinga signed up to the UNICEF campaign because he is dedicated to all-round child protection measures. "ODM is committed to solving issues affecting the girl child and the boy child, it is keen on their protection, how they live, their quality of life, their education, health and general well-being," Passaris said. "These children will ultimately grow into adults, ODM wants them to have a life that is all-inclusive and that accords them their dignity." Ngari Gituku, the press secretary for Kibaki Tena, a lobby for the president's re-election, said: "The Party of National Unity recognises that the destiny of Kenya as a nation depends on how well we shall endeavour to uphold the rights of the child, both girl and boy. We therefore have put in place deliberate measures to inspire the utmost surrender value from the potential inherent in every Kenyan child irrespective of her or his ethnic, social, economic or religious background." The campaign will seek similar pledges from all parliamentary and civic aspirants when the Electoral Commission of Kenya provides a fully comprehensive list of the confirmed candidates.

It draws on the achievements of a similar campaign in 2002, in which some 350 parliamentary aspirants signed a pledge to undertake 12 specific actions on behalf of orphans and other vulnerable children (OVCs). Yambi said more than 100 of these aspirants made it to parliament and that most of them followed through on the pledge. "A parliamentary committee on orphans and vulnerable children was formed, an OVC Bill has been drafted and the Sexual Offences Act was passed," Yambi said. "In fact Kenya has done pretty well in terms of legislation, the test would now be in implementation and monitoring of compliance to these laws."

In July 1990, Kenya became the 20th state to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It enacted the Children's Act in 2001 and created the National Council for Children's Services.
