he doesn't just sing! She uses her voice! She uses her voice to create awareness in the society. She uses her voice and force to influence youth and young adults in becoming better citizens. So you wonder how she pulls it all together. She is, in conjunction with the well known Redy-kulass involved in social activities such as the campaign- “Vijana Tugutuke” (“It is our time—so let us awake.”. This campaign is sponsored by the Institute for education in Democracy & Electoral Commission in Kenya. They (Esther&Redy-kulass, Kenyan celebrities with a voice) have hence been holding shows, and the ticket to their shows for wananchi is a voter’s card. See, by doing so, they hope to not only influence people to vote but also to use their voter’s cards rightfully.

On occasions one will also spot Esther Wahome in a blood drive. She hopes to create awareness that it is OK to give blood, and also sound sirens of Kenyans empowering their fellow Kenyans. Despite her slender & tall frame, there is one place you will NOT find her. At the gym! In her interview with KEN staff during her summer tour to the U.S, Esther commented, “I eat anything and I have never been to the gym!” So, it’s evident that genetics and a high metabolism have worked in her favor, considering her recent baby blessing.

The prayer warrior that she is lives by words of inspiration such as “my people will not be put to shame”-Joel2:26. Her faith in God is undeniable. Go Esther!Do your thing!

She is a song writer, a performing & recording artist, an activist, a TV presenter with citizen, and a mother of 2. Hailing from Kenya, East Afrika, Esther Wahome encompasses the cultural richness of her continent in her music. With her own unique blend of Zouk flavor, praise/worship, & upbeat contemporary feel to her music, Esther has accomplished what few singers before her have ever achieved: The ability to attract fans from all walks of life. In her interview with KEN staff , Esther Wahome stated that there is something divine about her hit single, ‘Kuna Dawa’ that she doesn’t quite understand. She continued to say that, ‘Kuna Dawa’ which found its way with ease to the airwaves has gotten people from different countries, babies, wazungus, name them; just wonna dance to the beat of that song.

Esther's impressive musical range and undeniable charisma has helped liberate gospel music's more formal, traditional image. She's also displayed the kind of vocal immediacy and an unspeakable presence possessed by few. Her road to the top of the musical mountain' has been filled with the kind of conviction that now causes a new generation of singers to cite her as an influence. Besides being a tough journey to the top, Esther confessed that the mountain climb became easier as she got established and more people started recognizing gospel music. She has even been called to state house on different occasions, and is well traveled both in and outside the continent.

The prayer warrior that she is lives by words of inspiration such as “my people will not be put to shame”-Joel2:26. Her faith in God is undeniable. Go Esther!Do your thing!
