Once again, Kenyans have demonstrated a unique sense of philanthropy by helping raise over $165,000 in aid of a Kenyan American Community Center in Atlanta, GA. The fund raiser, held on November 9th was a befitting birthday gift to a the constituent Church, The Kenyan American Community Church, which was coincidentally celebrating its first Anniversary since moving to its new location. The fund raiser is one in a series, aimed at raising about $2 Million towards the project. It came just two weeks ahead of a much awaited grand opening of another Kenyan Church, Christ Harvesters Ministries International, which has constructed a State of the Art Mega Sanctuary in the affluent suburbs of West Cobb, GA, estimated to have cost over three million dollars.
